WORKSHOP & EXHIBITION
Based was a collaborative project that analyzes the role of the graphic designer, and the curatorial possibilities they possess within a determined space. The relationships we share with our spaces, objects and society shape the constructions of our own identities. Based was an opportunity to explore the potential power we possess as space-makers, and the range of influence our spaces can reach.
This project was separated into two portions: a workshop and an exhibition. At the workshop, designers were presented with questions regarding space, self, and society, freely communicating any of their thoughts on a large constructed prism. The artifacts of the workshop were then deconstructed and reconstructed in an exhibition that summarized all of the findings in a form that was true to the nature of constructed space.
